- Keep the run as short and straight as possible. Your dryer's manual lists the maximum length and number of bends.
- Check the outside flap. It should open when the dryer runs and close when it stops.
- Do not run the dryer when you leave the house or go to bed.
- Keep the area clear of boxes, laundry piles and cleaning products.
- Have the full vent run cleaned once a year.
